The 34-year-old quarterback is one of the top creams of the NFL and is among the few black starting quarterbacks in the NFL 2023. His performances in the league are spectacular and is among the celebrated players in his role causing havoc to opponents.

For his team, Taylor is the new star in the house after becoming the first black starting quarterback to lead the Giants to victory. It is a fete that has taken 90 years to achieve. Since the establishment of the NFL outfit, no black quarterback has ever led it to victory. Despite his incredible record in the league as a polished quarterback with incredible experience under his belt, a number of odds had stuck up against Taylor. He had to overcome an unkind history that clouded his game as a black starting quarterback in NFL 2023. Since The Giants entered the NFL in 1932, no black quarterback had ever won any game for the outfit. The 90-year history was among the major hurdles that stood in Taylor’s path in his quest to become the first black quarterback to lead the NFL outfit to victory. Commanders, their opponents in the game is also an experienced side boasting of several wins in the NFL and was by far not a lightweight in the contest.

NBC Sports reports that prior to the game, Taylor did not believe the fete he would achieve at the end of the game that was held at the MetLife stadium. However, a page in the history books had already opened for him, and was only awaiting his performance to have his name inscribed in the team’s history. In the match, Taylor led his teammates to defeat Commanders 14-7, becoming the first black starting quarterback to lead the team to victory. And he did it in style in front of a mesmerized home crowd. Taylor recorded 279 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers. Although Taylor is battling a rib injury that has ruled him out of three games after the history-making match, he is an experienced black starting quarterback in the NFL 2023. He was drafted to the NFL in 2011, according to ESPN, and has represented some of the major NFL outfits. His career path includes stints with the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, and Buffalo Bills. He also played for the Los Angeles Chargers for two seasons before he switched to his current side the Giants. His total career yards is about 11, 373.

Taylor was born in 1989 and had a love for football while growing up. In his early career, he played college football. Before he received an NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens in 2011, he had represented the Virginia Tech.
